Scientific Newsletter of Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering

Ph.D. N.V. Usova (Donetsk) in her report «Name Conversion (to the question of onymogenesis)» considers such a form of onymogenesis as transonymization from its historical perspective. The author reconstructs the process of transformation of the Germanspeaking anthroponym Hannes/Hans into a poetonym in the light of the changes in the semantic structure of the onym.

A wide range of issues concerning ONYMOFORMATION AND HISTORY OF LANGUAGE is represented by the scientific reports of Alexander I. Yliadi (Kirovograd, Ukraine) «Some Iranian Lexemes in Slavic Hydronymy», Natalia V. Nemirova (Syktyvkar, Russia) «Precedent Names Symbolization in the Russian Newspaper Discourse», Larisa A. Dzhelalova (Dimitrovgrad, Russia) «The Role of the Figurative Part in the Formation of the Russian Proverbs Values», Laysan R. Zamaletdinova (Moscow, Russia) «Spelling Game in Modern Naming» and others.

The scientific report of Doctor of Philology, Professor A.I. Yliadi (Kirovograd, Ukraine) «Some Iranian Lexemes in Slavic Hydronymy» is devoted to the etymological analysis of several East Slavic hydronyms supposably having Iranian origin according to the well-known linguistic findings on the Iranian heritage in some hydronymic areas of Russia and Ukraine. For each of the analyzed namings with varying degrees of probability the eastern Iranian archaic form was restored to entitle the corresponding etymological study.

In the report of Ph.D., Associate Professor N.V. Nemirova (Syktyvkar, Russia) «Precedent Names Symbolization in the Russian Newspaper Discourse» the processes of updating, automation and de-automation of precedent names (PN) reflecting the mechanism of their symbolization are examined, as well as the features of the formation of some symbolic cognitive signs of PN in the newspaper discourse.

The report of Ph.D. L.A. Dzhelalova (Dimitrovgrad, Russia) «The Role of the Figurative Part in the Formation of the Russian Proverbs Values» is devoted to the description of the ethnic component of the Russian proverbs using the method of conceptual analysis by Yu.N. Karaulov.

In the work of L.R. Zamaletdinova (Moscow, Russia) «Spelling Game in Modern Naming» devoted to such a linguocreative sphere as urban nomination, was considered one of the important techniques of creating commercial urbanonyms - spelling games. As the fundamental difference of this creative method from the usual errors the author highlighted its motivation for speaking or writing people.

The variety of subjects is characteristic to the section: TOPONYMY, MICROTOPONYMY, - including the reports of the following authors: Danilo Bozovic

(Serbia) «Slavic Place Names in Contemporary Albania», Vasilyï I. Suprun (Volgograd, Russia) «Urbanonymy of Elista as the Linguistic-and-Cultural Phenomenon», Oleg N. Kopytov (Vladivostok, Russia) «The Sea as the Semantic Basis of the Place Names System of Vladivostok», Irina A. Gerasimenko (Gorlovka-Yalta) «Ergonymicon of Modern Yalta» and others.

In the current geopolitical environment is extremely important the general message of the work by Danilo Bozovic (Serbia) «Slavic Place Names in Contemporary Albania» facing the challenges of creating the conditions for a free and thorough, not tendentious, study of the history of the peoples living in this territory. According to the author, the objective study of the place names of the Slavic Balkans can help solving most urgent problems of sociopolitical nature.

Doctor of Philology, Professor V.I. Suprun (Volgograd, Russia) in his report «Urbanonymy of Elista as the Linguistic-and-Cultural Phenomenon» provides an output that currently the urbanonymy of Elista is under active development. In general, keeping its lin- guistic-and-cultural features of the Soviet period, the urbanonymy of Elista reflects the main features of the new time, first of all, the revival of the Kalmyk language and culture, as well as the change of world view for the previous period and its heroes.

In the work of Doctor of Philology, Professor O.N. Kopytov (Vladivostok, Russia) «The Sea as the Semantic Basis of the Place Names System of Vladivostok» the main toponymic base of Vladivostok is clearly identified, at the same time the local nature of some other toponymic bases is pointed out («botanical», «literary classics», «revolutionary», «Soviet», «industrial», etc).

As the result of the study of Ph.D., Associate Professor I.A. Gerasimenko (GorlovkaYalta) «Ergonymicon of Modern Yalta» it is found out that the ergonomic space of Yalta has its own characteristics and common to modern life patterns that reflect, firstly, some features of the Crimean polylingual space, the culture and the traditions of the peoples of the peninsula; secondly, the processes of globalization; and thirdly, the change of the statehood.

The largest number of reports (16 works of the authors from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine) traditionally has contained the section POETONYMOLOGY: Eugenyï M. Vereshchagin (Moscow, Russia) «"High-Sounding Name" and "Unknown Naming": their Role in the plot of "The Bronze Horseman"», Irina V. Kryukova (Volgograd, Russia) «Pragmatonymy as a Reflection of the Social Status of the Characters of the Art Works», Olga B. Perekhod (Brest, Belarus) «Proper Names as a Subsystem of the Art Images System of the Story by N.S. Leskov "Mountain"», Natalia Yu. Guzeva (Birobidzhan, Russia) «Onomastics of the Chinese People's Tale: Reality and Fiction», Nadezhda V. Merkulova (Voronezh, Russia) «Aesthetic Onomastics as an Art Element of the Text», Natalia V. Mudrova (Zaporozhye, Ukraine) «Structural-and-Semantic Features of Nomination of the Characters in the Poem by N. Kowalska "Monologue of a Witch"», Xenia S. Fedotova (Donetsk) «Accentuation of the Name: Phonosymbolical Aspect (the poem by E. Poe "The Raven")», and many others.

Doctor of Philology, Professor E.M. Vereshchagin (Moscow, Russia) in the presented study «"High-Sounding Name" and "Unknown Naming": their Role in the plot of "The Bronze Horseman"» propaedeutically reviewed general issues and offered some specific lin- guistic-and-textual and linguistic-and-cultural analysis of the text by A.S. Pushkin «The Bronze Horseman», previously having systematized the external circumstances of the writing of the poem itself (or «Petersburg Stories»), as well as the associated with it stanzas from the novel in verse «Eugene Onegin» known under the title « Jezierski», with the use of analytical methods of concentration on small volumes of the text.

In the report of Doctor of Philology, Professor I.V. Kryukova (Volgograd, Russia) «Pragmatonymy as a Reflection of the Social Status of the Characters of the Art Works» the ability of pragmatonyms (verbal trademarks) to participate in the creation of an artistic image was analyzed on the material of modern Russian literary works. The author shows the historical volatility of the status semes of pragmatonyms in connection with the change of the valuable relation to the objects of nomination by native speakers.

The relevance of treatment for the creativity by N.S. Leskov in the work of Ph.D., Associate Professor O.B. Perekhod (Brest, Belarus) «Proper Names as a Subsystem of the Art Images System of the Story by N.S. Leskov "Mountain"» is due to the need to study and describe the poetic onomasticon of N.S. Leskov, as well as some peculiarities of the author's onomastic sphere and some consistent patterns of its functioning and on this basis to clarify and complete the characteristics of the writer’s idiostyle.

Based on the study of Ph.D., Associate Professor N.Yu. Guzeva (Birobidzhan, Russia)

«Onomastics of the Chinese People's Tale: Reality and Fiction» it is possible to conclude that anthroponomy both as a part of the history and the culture of the people and as a component of some speech etiquette formulas, shows some peculiarities of names of persons in China, which once again confirms the fact of the language culture reflection through the onyms.

A wide range of theoretical questions in the field of aesthetic onomastics interpretation as an art element of creating the ideological expression of the text has been raised in the sci-

entific report of Ph.D., Associate Professor N.V. Merkulova (Voronezh, Russia) «Aesthetic Onomastics as an Art Element of the Text». It was found out that the use of aesthetic onomastics as a representative marker of a literary text is able to determine the direction of interpretation of the subtext by interdependence of the name system of the works and the artistic context. Thus, the broad involvement of aesthetic onomastics as an art element of the text structuring is invariably accompanied by disclosure of the general author’s intentions (as well as the incipit interpretations) within the individual narrative context.

The main objective of the study of Ph.D., Associate Professor N.V. Mudrova (Zaporozhye, Ukraine) «Structural-and-Semantic Features of Nomination of the Characters in the Poem by N. Kowalska "Monologue of a Witch"» was to analyze the category of characters to determine the mechanisms of action (influence) of the structural model and the semantics used by the author on the disclosure of the images of the characters and the development of the plot.

The scientific report of the post-graduate of the General Linguistics and History of Language Department of Donetsk National University X.S. Fedotova (Donetsk) «Accentuation of the Name: Phonosymbolical Aspect (the poem by E. Poe "The Raven")» was dedicated to the identification of the interaction of the «sound» matter of the poem by E. Poe «The Raven» with the semantics of the poetonym Raven. The focus of attention of the researcher is aimed to some attributive characteristics of the character based on their phonetic accentuation.

As the total of the reporting on the conference a lively discussion in the framework of the presented issues took place in the Internet space.

The special attention was awarded to the scientific reports of the following authors: Doctor of Philology, Professor V.I. Suprun (Volgograd, Russia) in his report «Urbanonymy of Elista as the Linguistic-and-Cultural Phenomenon», Ph.D., Associate Professor K.V. Pershina (Donetsk) «It was in Penkovo»: Appearance of the Filmonym and its Interaction with the Speech Component of the Movie», Ph.D., Associate Professor L.I. Duca (Zaporozhye, Ukraine) «Ways of Development of Connotative Onomastic Lexicography»,

Ph.D., Associate Professor O.B. Perekhod (Brest, Belarus) «Proper Names as a Subsystem of the Art Images System of the Story by N.S. Leskov "Mountain"», the post-graduate of the General Linguistics and History of Language Department of Donetsk National University X.S. Fedotova (Donetsk) «Accentuation of the Name: Phonosymbolical Aspect (the poem by E. Poe "The Raven")», etc.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, Doctor of Philology, Professor V.M. Kalinkin pointed out the use of a special individual author’s term «aesthetic onomastics» in the study of Ph.D., Associate Professor N.V. Merkulova (Voronezh, Russia).

Held in 2015 First (X Svyatogorsk) International Onomastic Readings named after E.S. Otin attracted many scientists in the field of onomatology to the multidimensional problems of onomastics, which is confirmed by the international status of the conference (Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, Russia).

In conclusion, I would like to cordially thank the Organizing Committee and the participants of First (X Svyatogorsk) International Onomastic Readings named after E.S. Otin and to wish further scientific achievements and discoveries.
