Text
Let’s listen to the first part of the text.
Welcome to London — capital of the United Kingdom. London is the farthest space metropolis with a population of more than 7 million, and one of the ten biggest cities in the world. Initially London was made up of three quarters: the City, Westminster and
Suburbs.
The City of London spreads along both sides of the river Thames. The embankments playhouse many historical building, modern constructions and the 20th century city’s skyscrapers.
One unique factor is that London is the only metropolis in the world which does not use a system of singular administration and is rather administrated by each city quarter separately. London has been the seat of the British monarchy for hundreds of years and the changing of the royal guards has become the city’s most popular attractions.
In 1777 Samuel Jonson wrote: “If you are tired of London then you are tired of life, because London has everything that life has to offer.” He was right and the visitors of London are convinced by that fact even today.
London playhouses to a varied mixture of people of all different colors and nationalities. Just due to the tourists mainly because of local residents a quarter of seven million inhabitants came from all over the world which means that 150 different languages are spoken in the city.
The extensive parks give a local residence a chance to relax during their spare time.
