Computer Companies

There are many computer companies in the world. Oracle Corporation, one of the world's largest software companies and a leading supplier of database-management systems. The company is based In Rewood Shores, California. Oracle soon became the industry leader in database management, winning contracts with some of the largest companies in the United States and the world. In 1996 Oracle began developing a software platform for the '' network computer''.

Intel company was created by Robert Noys and Jordon Moor. At first the company was called after the names of their creators: MN Electronics, then it was renamed into Integrated Electronics. The first word processor was produced in 1971. The first personal computer appeared 10 years later.

IBM is one of the oldest computer firms. In 1979 IBM invented a new of personal computers-PC. The processor, used in the first PCs, was intel 8088, and the operating system - MS-DOS.

Apple is known as the firm which invented the computers called Macintosh. As professionals say, Macintosh computes are much better than PCs for artists and designers. Now these programs work in PCs not worse than in MAcintoshes.
