THE ETHIOPIA IN RUSSIAN PUBLICAL OPINION AT THE END OF XIX-BEGINNING XX CENTURY

Summary

This book about the political and public relation between Russian Empire and the Ethiopia at the end 19th-beginning 20 century. The author take the detail picture of different aspects this rapprochement and the analyzes majority problems of history Russian-Ethiopian publican, cultural and diplomatically relation. The central problem of this monographic appeared the investigation some factors of Russian public opinion as regards Ethiopia and their people. The area of Red Sea at the end of XIX th century was the object of colonial eхpansion from Great Britain, France and Italy. Only one Russian Empire has not the colonial interests in Ethiopia and aspired to establish friendly political and cultural relation with this African country. Many Russian people was in Ethiopia at the end of XIX century – scientists, soldiers, travelers and the doctors. They lived their sign in history of RussianEthiopian relationship. The Ethiopia needs from diplomatically and publically help from Russia in period of ItaloEthiopian War 1895-1896 and became the first Black African country which aspired the diplomatically relation with Russsia. This tradition of politically and diplomatically relation between Russia and Ethiopia became the foundation of cultural, publically and the political communication two countries in Soviet period.

The monographic reckon not only on professional historical but the broad masses of readers, teachers and students.
