Travelling to new and interesting countries has always attracted people. And there are many reasons to travel.

First of all, travelling is exploring new places and experiencing different cultures and customs. It really broadens your mind and horizons. Secondly, when you travel you usually see new sights, visit local attractions and go to museums and galleries, where you can see the masterpieces of world art, for example. Finally, travelling helps people to change the surroundings and get away from everyday life. Moreover, if a person knows a foreign language, he becomes more independent and self-confident abroad.

The history if travelling is quite long. The first travellers were explorers. They travelled to discover new lands, to find fame and wealth. In spite of all possible dangers on the way they continued sailing to far distances.

Nowadays people can choose how to travel: by train, by ship, by plane, by car or even by motorbike. There are also lots of travel agencies which can arrange everything for you. They look for suitable destination, book the transport tickets and accommodation, arrange insurance and assist the travellers in getting their travel documents. As for me, I prefer booking package holidays. Almost every country has something to offer, so travelling is always an interesting and exciting process.

The most popular way to spend a holiday in our country is a journey to the beach resort. Everybody enjoys relaxing under the sun and near the sea.
