SUMMARY

Although there are many books on job automation, an Oxford economist has written another. In this interview, he explains why.

Although there is a lot of literature, this issue has not received proper attention from the authors. Talking about "robotic theft of work", many are silent about the fact that we do them and they only imitate and do what we say.

But robots don't always follow directions exactly. Learning machines don't blindly follow a given program, but develop strategies based on their past experience.

Speaking about the initial stage for youth, the author adheres to the idea of the "traditional way". Since having studied for any specialty, even the one where there is global automation, you can get to the centre for the development of these technologies, specialists in this area are always needed there.

The author explained his position on maintaining a “conditional” universal basic income. The idea is that everyone will receive some money from the state, but at the same time do voluntary work, volunteering.

According to the author, the government is leaning towards global automation, but it is not known whether they are following these strategies.

In my opinion, there is clever thought in the words of the author. For example, about the future path of youth, about volunteering and the UIB.

I will add my vision to this interview. It is worth saying that the owners of such robots (which drive a car, recognize birds and sew up grapes) can pay an additional tax, or pay an annual tax (as they did with cars).

I believe that robots cannot 100% replace humans in work processes. There are creative specialties where creativity is indispensable, and, as you know, the machine cannot understand the whole nature of human creativity.

The next idea will sound on the verge of fantasy. The government could create centres for the retraining of those workers who have been replaced by machines.
