Maritime Arbitration Commission (English Maritime Arbitration Commission) - an independent permanent arbitration institution (arbitral tribunal) exercising its efforts to resolve disputes referred to its competence by the Regulations on Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, ** in accordance with the Law Russian Federation "On International Commercial Arbitration." 

Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation approves the Rules of MAK, the procedure for calculating the arbitration fee, the rates of arbitrators' fees and other expenses MAK, assist in its activities.

Maritime Arbitration Commission resolves disputes that arise from contractual and other civil-legal relations arising from the commercial navigation, regardless of whether the parties are such a relationship subjects  Russian and foreign, or only Russian or foreign law only.

Maritime Arbitration Commission resolves disputes that arise in connection with sailing ships and inland navigation on international rivers, as well as disputes related to the implementation of inland vessels overseas shipments. Maritime Arbitration Commission shall consider disputes with an agreement between the parties on the transfer to its resolution.

The Commission shall take into consideration also disputes that the parties are obliged to pass on its resolution in the international treaties of the Russian Federation.

In the cases to be considered the Maritime Arbitration Commission, the chairman of the commission may, at the request of the parties to establish the size and form of security requirements and, in particular, order the seizure of being in the Russian port of the vessel or cargo on the other hand.

MAK Solutions executed by the parties voluntarily. The solution is not executed voluntarily, is to be executed in accordance with law and international treaties.
