6. What makes a successful business person? A successful business company?

Often people define a success of business person as the money he or she earn. And of cause such point of view is partly right because it’s normally to earn money that corresponds to your job position. But, in my opinion, level of success in work also depends on such factor as job satisfaction and it refers to many factors we should discuss.

At first successful business person is somebody who certainly knows their job very well, who’s good at what they do and also has experience and capability of making sure that the people that they manage also do their job well. As individual they, probably, need to have a very good vision, a thought about what their business should be and do in the future, they should be very capable in making a profit and in earning money for the business, they should be a very good team player- that’s mean they should work with others successfully and they should be very good in managing relationship, understanding people and taking care of them, because to work efficient employees must feel themselves comfortable in the company that they’re working in. Generally, a successful business person is very ambitious and wants to succeed. And after that I mean such man need a strong team, a marketing person, a sales person and so on. And of cause to be successful you must carry on you private life. It can be called work/life balance. We should remember that people must relax to work especially efficient after that.

There is more difficult to make definition of successful companies. There are many economics indicators as a profit, total revenue, market’s share and so on, but often people don’t know about figures. What points can we divide to define the successful company without using data? At first many successful companies have names that you would be very familiar with. They are called ‘brands’, for example, Coca-Cola or Disney or Microsoft or Nokia, and they are often regarded as examples of successful companies. Secondary, successful companies are generally very good place to work. Also often such companies have been exiting for quite time and that’s why their brand and name are known. Furthermore, today successful company is the company that has been learning while it exists. A lot today business are learning from those companies that have not been successful, and avoid common mistakes.

And at last, of cause, one of the most important features of successful companies is a very good, strong management team. And I suppose that many successful business persons are managing or working for successful company.
