Упражнения на чтение

  1. Расположите в алфавитном порядке слова, правильно прочтите их:

room, memory, device, character, component, user, accurate.

  1. Познакомьтесь с правилами чтения буквы e и прочтите следующие слова:

[e] desk, length, metric, heavy, ready;

[:] version, server, vertical, determine, reserve, conserve;

[i:] these, complete, speed, receive, proceed, repeat;

[] serious, clear, period, series, steer, here;

[e] break, convey, they, great, eight, weight;

[ju:/u:] review, new, flew, dew, few, jewels.

  1. Прочтите слова, обращая внимание на чтение буквосочетаний sure, ture:

sure [ʃ] pressure, fissure, assure, ensure;

sure [ǝ] pleasure, treasure, measure, leisure;

ture [tʃǝ] lecture, picture, temperature, mixture, feature, nature.

  1. Произнесите правильно слова, помня о правилах чтения:

convert, appear, complete, possess, research, suggest, mercury, weight, meter, each, between, well, means, freeze, degree, cease, her, these, lecture, certain.

  1. Прочтите интернациональные слова, обращая внимание на их частичное фонетическое сходство с русскими словами:

metric, illustrate, meter, laboratory, experiment, element, base, effect, version, server, vertical, conserve, period, series.

Грамматические упражнения

  1. Замените личные местоимения в скобках соответствующими притяжательными местоимениями. Предложения переведите:

1. I have some disks in (I) brief-case.

  1. (She) family was in London.

  2. (We) Institute has modern computers.

  3. Is it (you) printer?

  4. It is a computer program. (It) data are accurate.

  5. Look at (he) new fax-machine!

  6. All (they) files are in the computer.

2. Поставьте предложения с указательными местоимениями во множественном числе:

  1. This is a good computer.

  2. This is a computer user.

  3. This will be a new device.

  4. That is our Institute.

  5. That was my disk.

  6. This code is reliable.

3. Переведите предложения, обращая внимание на сложные слова с some, every, no, any:

  1. Some programs are in the computer.

  2. Somebody is at the computer.

  3. Nobody is at the computer.

  4. Everybody is at the computer.

  5. Is anybody at the computer?

  6. Something is wrong with the computer.

  7. Is anything wrong with the computer?

  8. Nothing is wrong with the computer.

  9. Everything is OK with the computer.

  10. The printer is somewhere here.

  11. Is printer anywhere here?

  12. I see a fax machine nowhere.

  13. I see disks everywhere.

  14. Any computer has some programs.

  15. No computer works without software.

4. Скажите, по каким признакам можно определить, что приведенные ниже слова являются существительными:

a computer, the data, a good program, some characters, many disks, my assistant, the professor`s room, this drawing, those young users, a digital form, a modern device.

5. Сделайте синтаксический анализ предложений:

  1. Many people use computers.

  2. My friend is a programmer.

  3. Computer has no intelligence.

  4. Computer is a modern device.

  5. We have information in a digital form.

  1. Составьте предложения из следующих слов и переведите их. Помните о правиле построения предложения:

  1. in the classroom, were, his assistant, Mr. Black, and.

  2. a lecture, today, on Informatics, have, the students.

  3. a good programmer, this, is?

  4. we, have, a new computer, shall?
