Данное пособие предназначено для практических занятий по английскому языку студентов заочного отделения неязыковых вузов, ранее изучавших английский язык, но имевших перерыв в занятиях.

Основной целью пособия является подготовка студентов к чтению и пониманию текстов средней трудности, построенных на бытовой и общеэкономической лексике. Пособие также нацелено на усвоение и закрепление грамматического аспекта языка, чему способствуют тщательно разработанные упражнения.

Пособие рассчитано на два года обучения, состоит из шести уроков, которые соответствуют шести учебным сессиям. Уроки 1-4 содержат варианты контрольных работ, в уроках 2 и 5 рассматриваются устные разговорные темы, предлагаются тематические вопросники, разговорные клише и тематический словарь. Урок 6 включает тексты для чтения, перевода и обсуждения, снабженные лексическими комментариями. Данные тексты имеют экономическую тематику и могут использоваться по мере прохождения всего курса.

Пособие отвечает требованиям программы по иностранным языкам для заочных отделений неязыковых вузов.
