Task 2. “What’s My Job?” ( Streamline Departures, Unit 34)
1) Listen and pay attention to the intonation of general questions. Write the questions and the answers down. Practice their reading.
2) Imagine you are a participant of this show and you must guess the job of a competitor. You know he might be an electrician, a teacher, an artist, a secretary, a dancer, or a bank manager. Prepare nine general questions you are going to ask to guess his job.
Task 3. “Never on Sunday” ( Streamline Departures, Unit 35)
1) Listen to the conversation between Mr. Benson and Vicar and write down what Mr. Benson or Mrs. Benson always, never, sometimes, usually does. Pay attention to the place of adverbs of frequency in a sentence.
2) Listen to the speakers, pay attention to the meaning of adverbs of frequency and their place in the sentences. Repeat the situations after the speakers, write them down (7 situations) and recite two of them by heart.
3) Make up sentences following the example.
