Friendship

Once upon time in a village, there was a nice house with big and colorful garden. In that house lived a woman. She was just a lady, without anything special, average age, and average looks. The lady was very diligent, she had been caring her flowers since she'd began living there, but then a strange thing happened.

Leaving her house the lady noticed a dog, a large, black dog with a spot between its ears. The dog didn’t seem homeless, it was plump and looked well. Before the lady said even a word the dog had laid on her violets, with a straight intention to sleep there for the night. The woman's indignation had no limits: the dog not only had come here, but also made a mess of her favorite flower bush! The lady shouted to dog: “Get out you silly animal, look at you, you’ve destroyed my flowers”. The pitiful, poor, dog had to obey and leave. With eyes full of sadness it turned its back and walked away.

Upset the woman started to mend her flowerbed, and then, her heart leapt again she saw the dog coming back. Grabbing a root of torn flower she threw it at the dog shouting “Look what you have done”. The dog afraid of woman ran away.

The frustrated woman decided to continue her work after a cup of tea, and she went at home to relax for a little while. After a few hours she decided to get back to work, and when she left her threshold she saw this dog once more, now lying near her door with eyes full of dry tears. Then the woman noticed the note, she unfolded it and read “We have six young children, the dog is immensely tired, please allow it to sleep some hours and don’t drive him out.”

This was the point when the friendship between the woman and the dog began. You have nothing to fear if you have nothing to lose. The woman had to lose a couple of her favorite flowers, but then she obtained a friend, a real devoted friend!
