The proposed manual is designed to help a wide range of learners of English master their English writing skills in various spheres of life. The manual focuses on the pieces of writing pertaining to the General English, Academic English and Business English areas, such as:

2) Academic English: writing a paragraph, an essay, a summary, a research paper, describing a graph;

3) Business English: writing a business letter, a memo, a report, minutes of a meeting, a press-release.

Each kind of writing is presented largely in terms (where applicable) of their: definition/differentiation; types; format/structure; stages; samples; useful language; tips (do’s and don’ts); evaluation criteria; references; training exercises; keys, and appendices.
