1.What are the main points of the Coordinated Management of Meaning Theory?

- refers to how individuals establish rules for creating and interpreting meaning and how those rules are enmeshed in a conversation where meaning is constantly being coordinated.

- it focuses on the relationship between an individual and his or her society.

- focuses on the self and its relationship to others;

- it examines how an individual assigns meaning to a message.

- CMM theorists propose six levels of meaning: content, speech acts, episodes, relationship, life scripts, and cultural patterns. As you read about the levels, keep in mind that higher levels help us to interpret lower-level meanings

2. What types of meaning breakdowns have you experienced in your conversations with others? Be specific and identify the context, the situation, and the conversation topic.

One day I and my friend misunderstood each other. It was unwillingness to understand the feelings of another person. On that day we were going to go to the cinema. But later I have a headache. My friend called me and we hаd the following conversation:

- "How are you?"

- "The head is splitting"

- "I see. Well, we will go to the cinema in the evening, do you remember? "

- I'm not going, I feel bad

- Oh, come on! It will be great movie

- I told you, I have a headache

-Is this an excuse not to go? We are only a week ago had planned to go with friends on his film

- You probably can not hear me! Go yourself, without me

- Well, then see you

3. Discuss the specific ways in which any component of CMM has practical value to you as a university student.

A very important role plays content, speech acts, relationship. Because most of the time we communicate with each other and with the teacher. On how we will feed the material will depend on how we understand, and if we would be interested in material.
