1. State the type of the passive construction and translate the following sentences:

1. The question was often put to me but I never answered it. 2. It was decided that their marriage should take place in December. 3. She said that his parents’ home would be closed to him. 4. Bell is looked on as a sweet-tempered young man. 5. Mr. Smith is expected to return shortly. 6. That afternoon we had our first history lesson, and the teacher showed up pictures of mastodons. 2. Turn the following active constructions into passive:

3. Supply the required passive forms of the verbs in brackets:
