VI. Grammar: The present simple passive

  1. Study the rules:

General formula for making a passive form is:

BEin appropriate tense + VERB3(ed)

You form the present simple passive with am/is/are + past participle V3(ed)

e.g.: This program is written in a special computer language. Programs and data are usually stored on disks.

Questions are formed as follows:

  1. Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs in brackets.

e.g. Houses (design) with the help of computers.
