5. Read the interview below . Who are the speakers? What questions are the most difficult to answer in your opinion?

A: - Good morning, sir.

B: - Good morning. You are Mr Klimenko, aren’t you? Please come in and take a seat. Tell me how long were you in your last job?

A: - Five years. I am only leaving because the firm is moving to Sevastopol, but I think a change will do me good.

B: - What do you know about our company?

A: - I know that this is a very promising company and you are planning to expand your activity on English-speaking countries, mainly on England, buy new technologies and equipment and run training programmes there.

B: - You are right. And we need active and professional people to be responsible for the contacts with English partners. So tell me what are your tree main strengths?

A: - I think they are reliability, loyalty and energy. And I also have a good command of English.

B: - OK. Do you mind everyday tensions? There may be quite a lot of work to be done for a short period of time.

A: - Well. I am accustomed to work under pressure.

B: - All right. Now Mr Klimenko, I am quite prepared to offer you a job with us. You have excellent references from your previous job. What do you find a fair salary?

A: - Equivalent of 1000$.

B: - I think will begin with 900$ for experimental period and if you do well we will review it by the end of three months. Your working hours are from 9 to 5.30 with an hour for lunch and a fortnight’s holiday. Does it suit you?

A: - Yes, certainly. When shall I start?

B: - The sooner the better. We are seeing you.

A: - Good-bye, sir.

6. Work in pairs and make up a dialogue between an employer and an applicant taking into account DOs and DON’Ts. Present your dialogues to the group.
