IV. Study’s supplements for the Course

1. Active Methods of Study

The PA combines two major methods of teaching: lecturing and seminar discussions. Thus in every class mini-lecture can be followed by structured discussion constituting lecture tutorial, or preceded by student’s presentation based on summaries from reading lists assignments. Each lecture emphasizes different aspect of the course subject, while seminars interpret sources and secondary literature, related to particular topics, treated in the lectures or developing lecture points in some different way, Seminar discussion work can by organized by a facilitator in different forms of “pyramid”, “fish bowl”, “case study” “role play” and also free discussions. A reader for seminars is provided by a lecturer.
