[x1] best holiday I’ve ever had was [x2] trip to India a few years ago. I went with [x3] old friend from school and we spent a month travelling around [x4] North. We started in Delhi, then followed the Ganges down to Kolkata, before heading north to Sikkim in [x5] foothills of the Himalayas. The cool green valleys, forested hills and Buddhist monasteries felt like heaven after [x6] heat, dust and chaos of the cities on [x7] river. The local people there are more Tibetan than Indian, and so happy and friendly that we were really sad to leave. We stayed in [x8] monastery for the last couple of nights and spent hours chatting with the monks and drinking [x9] tea with yak’s milk.
