The aim of the article is to show the reader features that the new generation intel processors offer.

The author admits Intel is still the leading CPU manufacturer worldwide, but the competition in 2022 is fiercer than ever. After an underwhelming lineup of Rocket Lake desktop CPUs last year, Intel was under pressure to respond.

Intel's 12th-Generation Alder Lake chips bring the company's hybrid architecture, which combines a mix of larger high-performance cores paired with smaller high-efficiency cores, for the first time. New generation brings disruptive 10 nm fabrication process (called like "Intel 7") and supports features like PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 RAM standard.

The article presents the technical characteristics of new processors for PCs and laptops, testing their performance in real tasks, and the selling price. As well as comparison with the processors of competitors such as AMD and Apple.

With the launch of 12th Gen Intel Core processor, Intel claims that they have killed competition. After falling behind AMD for a few years now, Intel has come back to being the maker of the best processors. But the important question remains how long it will stay at the top position.
