Предлагаемые таблицы и комментарии к ним позволяют использовать данную методическую разработку как для аудиторной, так и индивидуальной работы.

Present Continuous часто употребляется со следующими

Ex.1. Поставьте глаголы в Present Continuous.

1.Look! It (rain). 2. Excuse me, I (look) for the post office. 3. You (make) a lot of noise. 4. They (have) an English lesson. The teacher (write) new words on the blackboard and (explain) their meaning. The students (sit) at the tables and (make) notes. 5. Through the window we see the school yard. The school children (run) about there. They (have) an interval between their lessons. 6. Jim (take) his driving test now. 7. I (meet) her at the station at ten. 8. We (go) to the theatre tonight. 9. Ex.2. Сделайте предложения отрицательными и вопросительными. 1.The sun is shining brightly. 2. The cat is running along the wall. 3. My mother is cooking the meal. 4. My father is reading a book. 5. Ex.8. Переведите следующую шутку.

А. Капитан корабля кричит своим матросам: “Кто внизу?” “Это я, Билли, сэр,” – отвечает один. “Что ты там делаешь, Билли?” “Я делаю … мм … ничего, сэр ”. “А Том там?” “Да, сэр”. “А что ты там делаешь, Том?” “Я помогаю Билли, сэр”.

В. – Почему ты идешь под зонтом? (carry an umbrella) Ты думаешь, идет дождь?

usually; as a rule – как правило; always - всегда; never – никогда; often – часто; seldom – редко; sometimes - иногда; every day (month, year, week); from time to time – время от времени; in the morning (evening, afternoon); in summer (winter, autumn, spring)

Ex.16. Переведите следующий текст на английский язык и перескажите его.

Питер – студент университета. Он живет в общежитии (dormitory). Пять раз в неделю у него занятия в университете. В субботу и воскресенье он не ходит в университет. Питер занимается спортом, он также увлекается музыкой (be fond of). Он часто ходит с друзьями на концерт. Он сам играет на скрипке (play the violin) и принимает участие в студенческих концертах. Питер специализируется по истории России и изучает русский язык, но он еще не знает, кем он хочет стать. У него есть друзья в России. Это студенты, которые изучают английский язык. Они часто пишут письма друг другу, а иногда разговаривают по телефону. Питер обычно говорит поанглийски, а его друзья – по-русски, но они понимают друг друга. На каникулы Питер обычно ездит к своим родственникам, которые живут в Канаде. PRESENT CONTINUOUS and PRESENT SIMPLE

Ex.1. Выберите сказуемое.
