Working day of Aeroflot representative.

The main objective of Aeroflot representative is to attract more passengers and cargo and to make passenger and cargo transportation as profitable as possible.Aeroflot representative has a lot of work. He is working day begins early. It consists of giving instructions to his staff,telephone conversatios,business talks, reseption of visitors, making arrangements, discussion of important business problems with his personnel and representatives of otherairlines.Every day he looks though the telexes and letters and if there are express or urgent ones he gives answers without delay.He makes an order for food on the previous day and on the day of departure he checks it and confirms the order.He prepares the mail which he sends to Moscow, he hands it over to the co-pilot together with the documents of the previous flight The Aeroflot representative receives a departure telex and informs the Embassy officials on duty of the departure time. If is also the responsibility of the representative to develop cooperation with other airlines and tourist firms and to advertise our routes. He cooperates with the Embassy,Consulate and police officials,too.

Passenger ticket and baggage.The international passenger ticket is a document formally called passenger ticket and baggage check.It shows that the passenger can board the indicated plane with his baggage.The ticket has several coupons:1.An audit coupon2.An agent coupon.3.Several flight coupons.4.A passenger coupon. Health control.Plant Quarantine Point.Veterinary Point.The outgoing Russian citizens and foreigners arriving in Russia must have a special document “International Certificate of Vaccination which certifies that a person has been inoculated against some infections diseases such as cholera,small pox,yellow fever,plague,typhoid or malaria.All incoming foreigners must proceed to the Healf Control to produce the certificate of vaccination.Any load or baggage containing seeds,bulbs,cuttings,vegetables and fruit are subject to the Plant Quarantine inspections.A passenger must have a special license to carry plant materials.That document should be produced to the State Inspector of the Plant quarantain point.Transportation of animals,birds,live fish,insects and products of animal origin is under the inspection of the Veterinary control.A passenger should have a medical certificate for his animal to carry it in the passenger cabin.

Check-in agent’s duties. Ticket agents duties..there are 3 ways to make arrangements for a trip.^1.by going to a travel agency.2.by going in person to an airline ticket office.3.by telephoning an airline reservations office.The principal job of a reservations agent is to make or confirm reservations for passengers who telephone the airline.They also must be able to give information on weather meal service,car hire биaggage and so on.When a passenger calls an airline for a reservation the agent should find out^1.who is travelling.2.where the passenger wants to go.3.what time and what day the passenger wants.4.whatclass of service the passenger wants.The reservations agent must also find out,what time and what day are most convenient for the passenger and ask the passenger and ask the passenger if he (she)is travelling alone or with other people.If the passenger is travelling with children it’s necessary to inform him(her) about discounts.The reservation agent should also find out if the passenger has any special requests like special meals,medical needs,room reservationбсar hire and so on.The reservation agent should try to get a telephone number from the passenger where he can be reached.

Main parts of an aircraft.Passenger cabin.The passengers cabins are lined with synthetic fabrics.The doors are fitted with curtains and a soft synthetic carpet covers the cabin floor.The overhead baggage racks extend along the cabin walls.On the underside of the baggage rack passengers can find the service units^vents,that can be unscrewed and turned in a desired direction an individual light which the passengers can switch on at their desire and a hostess call- buttonю The cabin windows are of the oval form.The passengers can close the windows with a rigid bling in the sunny weather.In the day-time the cabins are illuminated by fluorescent light.During night flight the general illumination is extinguished and the stewardess switch on dim lights.Above the cabin door there are two notices which areswitched on while ascending or descending^Fasten Seat Belt” and “No smoking”

Internal Airport.Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise is one of the largest and most up-to-date in Russia.It’s situated only 18 km from the centre of ST.Petersburg.It’s two new runways can receive all types of aircraft.Pulkovo provides^1.a comfortable pleasant flight 2.freight service 3.leasing of airplanes,crew and technical staff to foreign companies 4.charter flights. Pulkovo operates scheduled service from ST.Petersburg to 53airports in Russia and the CIS and to 18 foreign countries,as well-as charter flights to many other destinations.The interprise has it’s own fleet of more than 40 aircraft, all made in Russia(IL-86, TU-154, Tu-134).Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise also operates the airterminals ‘Pulkovo-1’ and ‘Pulkovo-2’ which both offer passengers a full range of services.There are duty free shop,restaurant,bars and buffets,currency exchenge point,kiosks selling magazines,periodicals and couvenirs,taxi service.

International Airport. Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise also operates the airterminals ‘Pulkovo-1’ and ‘Pulkovo-2’ which both offer passengers a full range of services.There are duty free shop,restaurant,bars and buffets,currency exchenge point,kiosks selling magazines,periodicals and couvenirs,taxi service.’Pulkovo-2’ has two business lounges-ST.Petersburg lounge and Pulkovo lounge-as well as a VIP lounge.They are all located beyond the passport and customs control area on the first floor of the arrivals and departures buildings.The following international airlines are represented at ‘Pulkovo-2’:LOT,MALEV,FINNAIR,SAS,AIR FRANCE,BRITISH AIRWAYS,AUSTRIAN.

Passenger baggage and dangerous goods.Passenger baggage is usually carried in the baggage compartment of the same plane on which the passenger is traveling.Carry-on or cabin baggage is usually kept with the passenger.Baggage is checked in and weighed at the check-in counter.It is labeled as well.The baggage tag uses the three letter code for the destination and there is usually also a space where the agent can write the flight number.There are free baggage allowances for passengers.For a first class passenger the allowance is thirty(30) kilograms, for an economy passenger it is twenty klg(20),for a business passenger it is forty (40).If a passenger carrying overweight baggage (more than 30/20 kgs) he (she) must pay an excess baggage charge.Infants do not have a free baggage allowance children traveling at a 50% discount have the normal free baggage allowance.Every passenger can insure his/her baggage at the insurance desk of the airport.If the passenger baggage has not arrived at the destination the passenger must address to ‘Lost and Found’.

Fares and Rates.On international and domestic routes passenger fares and cargo rates differ in different countries.There are two main categories of passenger fares on scheduled services known as ‘normal’ fares and ‘spesial’ fares.Normal fares are available to all passengers without limitation Special fares are lewer than normal economy fares and are designed to attract passengers who would not travel at the higher economy fares.Special fares are known to be available on a round trip basis caly.Both normal and special fares generally vary on& given route according to the season and may vary according to the day of the week or time of day.In some cases normal economy fares very by season and by day of week or time of day.Different airlines may offer different normal economy fares between the same city-pairs.There are many types of special fares:excursion fares,individual and group inclusive tour fares, youth fares, family fares, student and teacher fares and militaru fares.The most widely available of these special fares are excursion fares.
