An American actor, producer and musician John Christopher "Johnny" Depp II was born on 9 June, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky. He’s the son of John Christopher Depp, Sr., a civil engineer, and his wife, the former Betty Sue Wells, a waitress. He has one brother, Daniel, who is a novelist, and two sisters, Christie (now his personal manager) and Debbie.

He was given a guitar from his father for his twelfth birthday. Depp began playing in various bands. A year after his parents' divorce, Depp dropped out of high school to become a rock musician

On December 24, 1983, Depp married Lori Anne Allison, the sister of his band's bass player and singer. During Depp's marriage, his wife worked as a makeup artist, while he worked a variety of odd jobs for pens. His wife introduced him to actor Nicolas Cage, who advised Depp to pursue an acting career. Depp and his wife divorced in 1985.

Depp's first major role was in the 1984 classic horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street.

In 2003 the Walt Disney Pictures film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was a major success, in which Depp's performance as the suave but shambling pirate Captain Jack Sparrow was highly praised. His character became popular with the movie-going public. He returned to the role of Jack Sparrow for the sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which opened on July 7, 2006 and grossed $135.5 million in the first three days of its U.S. release, breaking a box office record of the highest weekend tally. The next sequel to Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End, was released on May 24, 2007. Depp has said that Sparrow is "definitely a big part of me", and he wants to play the role in further sequels.

He has won the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild award for Best Actor. He has collaborated with director and friend Tim Burton in seven films, most recently with Alice in Wonderland (2010). He has been nominated for top awards many times, winning the Best Actor Awards from the Golden Globes for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and from the Screen Actors Guild for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. He also has garnered a sex symbol status in American cinema, being twice named as the Sexiest man alive by People magazine in 2003 and 2009. He has been listed in the 2012 Guinness Book of World Records as the highest paid actor with $75 million. Films featuring Depp have grossed over $3.1 billion at the United States box office and over $7.6 billion worldwide.

Depp's Hollywood Walk of Fame star received on November 19, 1999.

Kate Elizabeth Winslet (born on 5 October 1975) is an English actress and occasional singer. She was born in Berkshire and studied drama from childhood. Winslet is the second of four children. Her older sister, Anna, and younger sister, Beth, are also actresses. Her younger brother, Joss, is the only sibling who did not pursue an acting career.

At the age of 12, Winslet appeared in a television advertisement.

Winslet's career began on television, with a co-starring role in the BBC children's science fiction serial Dark Season.

She achieved recognition for her work in a supporting role in Sense and Sensibility (1995) and for her leading role in Titanic (1997), the highest grossing film of all time, grossing more than US$ 1.843 billion in box-office receipts worldwide, and transformed Winslet into a commercial movie star.

Winslet had rejected offers to play the leading roles in Shakespeare in Love in 1998 and Anna and the King in 1999 in favour of the role of a young English mother named Julia who moves with her daughters from London to Morocco hoping to start a new life. The film garnered generally mixed reviews and received only limited distribution, resulting in a worldwide gross of US $ 7 million.

In 2001's Enigma, Winslet played a young woman who finds herself falling for a brilliant young World War II code breaker, played by Dougray Scott.] It was her first war film.

Her final film in 2004 was Finding Neverland. The story of the production focused on Scottish writer J.M. Barrie (Johnny Depp) and his platonic relationship with Sylvia Llewelyn Davies (Winslet), whose sons inspired him to pen the classic play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up. The film received favourable reviews and proved to be an international success, becoming Winslet's highest-grossing film since Titanic with a total of $118 million worldwide.

In 2007, Winslet reunited with Leonardo DiCaprio to film Revolutionary Road.

Winslet was awarded a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children in 2000. She has been included as a vocalist on some soundtracks of works she has performed in, and the single "What If" from the soundtrack for Christmas Carol: The Movie (2001), was a hit single in several European countries. Winslet has two children: a daughter with Jim Threapleton and a son with Sam Mendes.

Winslet has been selected for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
