Полтава 2010 передмова
Методичні вказівки призначені для студентів першого курсу всіх спеціальностей, на яких вивчають основи ділової англійської мови.
Їх завданням є засвоєння відповідної лексики (близько 100 лексичних одиниць) та навчання іншомовного спілкування з теми “Telephoning”.
Методичні вказівки побудовані на автентичному матеріалі, охоплюють шість основних видів телефонних розмов і включають наступні розділи: “Connecting”, “Taking and Leaving Telephone Messages”, “Communication Problems”, “Making an Appointment”, “Making Hotel Reservations” та “Leaving Voicemail Messages”.
Оскільки телефонні розмови належать до стандартних, типових діалогів, ми вважали за доцільне здійснювати навчання студентів діалогічного мовлення з даної теми шляхом „зверху вниз”, що й обумовило структуру розділів – вправи кожного розділу побудовані за циклічним принципом і поділяються на такі підрозділи: “Before you Start”, “Reading”, “Vocabulary”, “Speaking” та “Writing”.
Призначенням підрозділу “Before you Start” є формулювання установки на подальшу роботу, повторення відомого матеріалу, зняття деяких труднощів, які можуть виникнути при роботі з відповідним розділом.
У підрозділі “Reading” проводиться робота з текстом діалогу, спрямована на розуміння його змісту, відбувається знайомство з новими словами і мовленнєвими структурами відповідного виду діалогу, здійснюється їх відпрацювання з точки зору правильного фонетичного оформлення мовлення.
Підрозділ “Vocabulary” призначений для відпрацювання на різних рівнях нових лексичних одиниць із метою їх застосування у подальшому складанні власних діалогів.
Призначенням підрозділу “Speaking” є власне навчання спілкування з теми “Telephoning” у системі різних за складністю вправ: від рецептивно-продуктивних комунікативних вправ нижчого рівня до продуктивних комунікативних вправ вищого рівня.
У підрозділі “Writing” матеріал відповідного розділу використовується для розвитку навичок письма з теми “Telephoning”: студентам пропонується письмово відтворити один із складених діалогів, подані вправи на написання електронних листів, записок та ін.
Методичні вказівки забезпечені англо-українським словником до кожного підрозділу, що робить їх зручними у користуванні.
Методичні вказівки були апробовані у кількох групах першого курсу Полтавського національного технічного університету імені Юрія Кондратюка. Орієнтовні норми часу – 3–5 аудиторних годин на кожний розділ, залежно від рівня підготовки студентів, причому кількість розділів, що вивчаються, коригується залежно від конкретної ситуації.
