Our school.

Our school is large. It is Kulash Baiseitova Republican secondary specialized musical boarding school for gifted children. It is located in the centre of the city. We have a wide school yard and a sports ground behind the school. Our school has got 3 floors. There are classrooms for the pupils of the primary and secondary forms on the ground floor. There is a cloak-room, a dining room and a library. If you look around the hall you`ll see many portraits of the famous composers. We have a computer room and Kazakh, English, Russian, Physics, Geography and other classrooms. There are musical rooms for music which every person can study their musical lessons. I study my musical lesson in ____ room on the second (third) floor. I started school at the age of five.I study here till twelfth years. As for me I have made my choice long ago. I wanted to become a musician when in my childhood I took an interest in music, sang and tried to play on musical instruments.

This year we have 100th anniversary from the birth of Kulyash Baiseitova. In autumn we have officially opened the monument dedicated to her. And in spring on 17th of April we had gala concert with all our departments. We had special guests like our formr\er graduats and outstanding people of our republic. Everyone enjoyed this performance.

THE USA

The United States of America is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North America, where its forty-eight contiguous states and Washington, D.C., the capital district, lie between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. At 3.79 million square miles (9.83 million km2) and with over 312 million people, the United States is the third or fourth largest country by total area, and the third largest by both land area and population. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries. In 1492, Genoese explorer Christopher Columbus, under contract to the Spanish crown, reached several Caribbean islands, making first contact with the indigenous people.

Washington, D.C. is the capital of the United States. On July 16, 1790, the United States Congress approved the creation of a federal district to become the national capital as permitted by the U.S. Constitution. A new capital city named after George Washington was founded in 1791 to the east of the preexisting port of Georgetown. The centers of all three branches of the federal government of the United States are located in the District, as are many of the nation's monuments and museums. Washington, D.C., hosts 176 foreign embassies as well as the headquarters of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organization of American States (OAS), the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). The headquarters of many other institutions such as trade unions, non-profit organizations, lobbying groups, and professional associations are also located in the city. The District is governed by a locally elected mayor and 13-member city council.

The USA has some fabulous cities, the most famous being the Big Apple of New York on the east coast and the Golden Gate of San Francisco on the west. Yet there are plenty of other cities worth visiting such as the non-stop fun in Las Vegas, the Hollywood glamour and Disneyland magic in Los Angeles, the excitement in Miami, the history in Boston, the patriotism in Washington DC, the cowboys of Dallas, and the tropical escape in Honolulu, Hawaii. From coast to coast, America offers a taste of everything.
