The number of people who want to start their own business is increasing. If you are amo[ʌ]ng them, I want to give you some advices.

Firstly, decide what kind of business you want to run: restaurant, shop, hotel, factory etc. You have to like what you do. The favourite job only brings success and luck. Write a business plan which should include such thing as what profit can you get, how much it will cost to produce or deliver products. If you don’t know how to do it, you can consult a lawyer.

Before the beginning your own business you need a huge startup capital. You can save up money if you don’t have any savings, you can get a bank loan. It’s difficult but it’s possible.

It’s important to decide, you want to set up your business alone or set up it with somebody as a partner.

Then, it’s necessary to find the place for your business. You can build new building or rent. It requires much money.

The most important is found responsible workers. Because only diligent and hard-working employees are guarantEE of your success especially at the initial stage.

If you want to attract people, you can print leaflets and adverts in the papers or promote your products on TV or on radio. After that slowly the customers will trickle in and as a result you’ll get bumper orders. You can expand to include the next villages. Remember, start small, consolidate and expand gradually and you can will be pretty confident about the future.

Some people prefer to work for themselves or own a business. While others prefer to work for an employer. As for as I’m concerned, I would like to work for myself.

First of all, perhaps one disadvantage to work for others is that we couldn’t plan our time freely. We have to work from 8 to according to the employer’s schedule [‘ʃedju:l – распорядок]. No matter what the weather is like, we have to go to our office on time. We have no choice but to obey the rules set by the employer. When we work for ourselves, we could decide our own timetable. We could find the best time for us to work and improve the work efficiency [i’fiʃǝnsi – продуктивность].

Working for yourself means being in charge of your own destiny. Or salary would be very clear to us. We know what we should earn. We would work harder to get better result. However, when we work for others, the boss decides what we earn. It often happens that we get less than we could earn. The hours are usually much longer – especially with the mountain of paper work to get through – and at times it can be a lonely, thankless task.

There are a lot of advantages when you work for yourself. No more working for smb else, no more orders, no prospects of being sacked or made redundant. You’re in charge of your income. You earn much more than your employees. You get to make all of your decisions; no one else is telling you want to do. You can basically make your own hours, you can decide to work really hard one day and take half day off the next day. You may get no paid vacation, but if your business is a successful you can do what you want. Ultimately this can mean more time with your family.
