- Over there. This is the Monument of Glory. It is dedicated to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War.
- Fantastic! Lime-trees in the centre of the city?...
- Yes. Famous people who visited Kemerovo planted them.
- I see… By the way, what’s the name of this street?
- Pritomskaya embankment. It is one of the most picturesque places in our city.
- Where can I do shopping here?
- We'll go straight, than turn left... Do you see that building over there? It is the Central Department store.
- Thank you very much. Is it a stadium on my right?
- Yes, it is "Khimik", the biggest stadium in Kemerovo. Sport is very popular with the citizens. There are some stadiums, sports grounds and swimming pools in our city. Besides, Kuzbass hockey team successfully participates in the national championship, the athletes of Kemerovo repeatedly participated in All-Russia and international competitions, and they won some Olympic medals.
- Are there any places where I can enjoy the nature?
- Of course. Kemerovo is surrounded by the beautiful countryside with forests, mountains, lakes where there are a lot of health resorts for people. If you don't want to leave the city, you may go to the right bank of the river Tom and spend your spare time in the Pine Wood.

2. Вы находитесь в незнакомом для Вас городе. Спросите прохожего, как пройти или проехать в гостиницу, (музей, банк, на стадион). Прохожий подробно объясняет маршрут и рисует схему, которую отдает вам.
3. К вам приехал гость из Англии. Он впервые в Кемерове и хочет посмотреть его достопримечательности. Покажите ему город. Ответьте на его вопросы. Пригласите его в музей, театр, на концерт.
