Teacher: I’d rather watch а cartoon. Cartoons аге usually funny and amusing. I enjoy watching them. I think it's а good way for us to relax after а hard working day at school. Do you agree with me?
Student: Оh, no! Cartoons are for little kids. I'm fed up with silly cartoons.
Teacher: I can't agree with you! Modern cartoons are like films with exciting plots and unusual characters. And computer graphics makes them really colourful.
Student: I wouldn't say that. Of course, there аге some геаllу fascinating cartoons but оn the whole their plots are rather simple and ргеdictаblе. It’s not my cup of tea.
Teacher: What films would you prefer?
Student: As for me, I would prefer to watch а thriller. Thrillers are never boring and the action in them never stops. Their story lines аге full of surprises and suspense. I enjoy characters who go through dangers to complete their mission. What do you think of it?
Teacher: It's not а bad idea! Thrillers are usually very exciting and full of special effects. However, they are also full of violence and blood. I think we'd better watch а love story. 1 enjoy films about love because they usually have hарру endings. And the actors and actresses are always so beautiful!
Student: I hate love stories. Тhеу are very boring. Besides, I’ve seen the trailer of this film оп the Internet. It's а tragedy about unhарру love. I think we have enough problems in оur everyday lives so we should relax and watch something exciting. What about а detective film?
Teacher: Well, it's possible. I enjoy detectives because of their sophisticated story 1ines. There is always suspense up to the very end. But some films are really frightening, aren't they?
Student: Yes, they are but not in this case. This оnе is а psychological film. The plot centres оп the deductive abi1ity of the detective. And the actor who stars in this film is rеаllу talented so his acting should be brilliant. 1 think it's rather fascinating, isn't it?
Teacher: Оh yes, it is. If it's not too violent, let’s see it. I think it's the best choice for us.
Student: I’m with you there. Let’s watch a detective film then.

Student: Good morning, Teacher. I’ve heard that our class is going on a school trip at the end of May. I’d like to find out more about this trip. Could I ask you some questions?
Teacher: You are welcome!
Student: First, I’d like to know where we are planning to go. Are we going to St. Petersburg?
Teacher: No, we aren’t. We are planning to visit some cities of the Golden Ring.
Student: But why can’t we go to St. Petersburg? I think this trip would be amazing.
Teacher: I’m afraid it’s too expensive for some of our students. What’s more, we don’t have enough time to see the sights of St. Petersburg, as our trip is going to last only three days. Maybe, we will visit this wonderful city next year.
Student: Oh, I see. I wonder if we are going to stay in a hotel.
Teacher: Certainly, as we intend to spend three days in Uglich. The hotel is quite comfortable, and you will like it here.
Student: What places of interest will we see?
Teacher: We are going to see a lot of interesting sights. You will visit the old palace of Ivan the Terrible. Then you will see the Uglich Kremlin. On the last day of our trip you’ll visit ancient Russian churches.
Student: Are we going to visit the Museum of Mice? I’ve always wanted to see it.
Teacher: Of course, all our students are keen on going to the museum to see models of mice from all over the world. It must be very interesting.
Student: And one more question. How much does this trip cost?
Teacher: The trip costs four thousand roubles. It is not very expensive and the students can afford it. Would you like to join the class?
Student: I’d love to. I can’t wait to go on this school trip. Thank you.
