The curriculum approved by the Ministry of Higher and Specialized Secondary Education of Ukraine covers the entire sequence of the teaching process throughout the entire period of study; it lists the subjects to be thoroughly studied by every student, the time allotted to each subject, the priorities and periods of study within every school-year and by semester (there are two in each year).

A curriculum specifies the types of practical training and respective periods spend by students at diverse enterprises of the railway, as well as other types of practical activities, such as practical drill at the Institute’s or technical school’s workshop or practical work at an enterprise associated with research involved in the writing of one’s diploma thesis.
