General conditions of sale 2 teacher's file

FOCUS 1. Read and discuss the following.

GENERAL SALES CONDITIONS

1. PRICES

Prices are net, ex-works and are subject to alterations without notice.

Please note that the exchange rate for 1.00 Euro is equal to … However in case of major currency changes the exchange rate may be adjusted.

2. QUANTITY

Please note that the column «Quantity» states number of items in one piece of package.

3. LETTER OF CREDIT AND PREPAYMENT

The Sellers will be ready to deliver all goods within 4-6 weeks upon receipt of LC or prepayment, unless special agreements have been made.

4. DELIVERY

Receipt of orders will be confirmed within 24 hours. Delivery will be confirmed within one week by a final order confirmation, stating time of delivery and value. Stock orders for urgent items may be delivered within 24 hours.

5. PACKING AND SHIPPING

Export packing is included. Unless special instructions are given, goods will be shipped in the best possible way at the Sellers’ judgement. Freight will be invoiced (FCA, Incoterms 90).

6. INSURANCE

Unless special instructions are given, the Sellers will insure goods to destination and insurance premium will be invoiced. Please notice when postal shipments are required (airmail, parcel post etc.) no insurance will be covered by the Sellers.

7. WARRANTY

At the time of shipment from the Sellers’ works all products are in good operating condition, free from defects in design and workmanship, and in accordance with the Sellers’ specifications of such products.

The Sellers’ distributors will extend and fulfil 12 months’ warranty to the users.

Furthermore it is possible to send the faulty goods under warranty for repair at the Sellers’ premises. Shipment cost to be covered by the Buyers.

8. REPAIR SERVICES

The Sellers offer three months’ warranty from the date of invoice for repairs carried out at the Sellers’ Service Workshop.

Faulty goods will be repaired and shipped within one week.

Repairs of the faulty goods not under warranty will be charged at current spare part prices plus labour cost. Shipment cost to be covered by the Buyers.

9. EXCHANGE POLICY FOR THE GOODS NOT UNDER GUARANTEE

The Sellers have return policy for defective goods.

When the Buyers return defective goods the Sellers will exchange these goods for the goods of standard quality.

10. SERVICE POLICY

The Sellers are committed to be able to deliver spare parts and service documentation during the product’s entire service period.

11. COMPLAINTS

Complaints are to be made within 10 days upon receipt of the goods. In case latent defects are revealed, claims are to be made within twelve months (365 days) of the invoice. After this period no complaints will be valid. Rejected products are to be returned immediately in the normal packing, with a detailed description of the fault.

12. RETURN SHIPMENTS

Except for general return agreements, no items are allowed to be returned to the Sellers’ Distribution Centre without any preliminary approval from the Sellers.

Please note that returned goods are subject to a 10% inspection fee, unless otherwise agreed.
