Ход урока

I. Начало урока.

Т: Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. It'll be a lesson-competition. Everybody will have possibility to be a winner. At the end of the lesson the winner will be given a prize. Be very attentive and try to do everything correctly. Our first task is patters. Read them on your cards and try to pronounce them correctly. (Скороговорки нужно написать на отдельных карточках и раздать их членам команды. Кто лучше и четче произнесет, тот и победит.)

  1. Pat's black cat is in Pat's black hat.

  2. Hickety, pickety, my black cat likes to sit in my blue hat.

  3. Geb is Bob's dog. Tob is Mob's dog.

  4. A girl sees three big grey geese.

  5. A cup of nice coffee is in nice coffee-cup.

  6. Sid sees six trees.

  7. Pat keeps two pets.

  8. If you, Sandy, have two candies, give one candy to Andy, Sandy.

  9. If you, Andy, have two candies give one candy to Sandy, Andy.

T: (Затем предлагаются загадки. Их можно написать на карточках и раздать учащимся, или использовать интерактивную доску, но лучше читать загадки учителю). Now listen to the riddles.

  1. 1 have four legs, but I can't walk (a chair).

  2. I'm tall and green, I'm in the garden (a tree).

  17. Of our deep river it joins the two banks. When it helps me cross it, I say, "Thanks!" (a bridge).

  18. Never planted, still it grows, "What's the answer? Who knows? (hair).

  19. An old gentleman, bent with age, is asking questions on every page (a question mark).

  20. My lace is black, as black as night. On it with chalk all pupils write (a blackboard).

T: I think you like proverbs and sayings. Now we will have possibility to check up you knowledge.

Учащимся предлагаются пословицы на английском языке. Они дол­жны подобрать к ним эквивалент на русском. Можно русский перевод оформить на доске, и тогда учащимся нужно будет только выбрать не­обходимый вариант.

  • Actions speak louder than words. — He по словам судят, а по делам.

  • friend in need is a friend indeed. — Друзья познаются в беде.

  • All's well that ends well. — Все хорошо, что хорошо кончается.

  • Ask no questions and you'll be told no lies. — He задавай ненужных вопросов.

  • Between two chairs one falls to the ground. — Между двумя стульями не усидишь.

  • Haifa loaf is better than no bread. — На безрыбье и рак рыба.

  • Like mother, like daughter. — Яблоко от яблони недалеко падает.

  • Make hay while the sun shines. — Коси, коса, пока роса. Куй железо, пока горячо.

  • No news is good news. — Если нет новостей — тоже неплохо.

  • Bad news travels fast. — У беды длинные ноги.

  • No smoke without fire. — Нет дыма без огня.

  • Out of sight, out of mind. — Сглаз долой — из сердца вон.

  • The devil is not so black as he is painted. — He так страшен черт, как его малюют.

  • Tastes differ. На вкус и цвет товарищей нет. О вкусах не спорят.

  • While there is life there is hope. — Пока живу — надеюсь. Надежда умирает последней.

  • Two is company but three is none. — Третий лишний.

  • You can't eat cake and have it. — За двумя зайцами погонишься, ни одного не поймаешь.

  • One for all and all for one. — Один за всех и все за одного.

Т: Well, everything was all right. Now listen to the verses and try to put in the missed words.

Далее учащимся предлагаются рифмованные загадки, в которых нужно вставить слово в рифму.

  1. How much is one plus one? . . . apples growing in the sun (two). How much is two plus two? . . . apples for little Sue (four). How much is three plus three? . . . apples are on the apple-tree (six). How much is four plus four? . . . red apples and no more (eight).

  2. My dog has four legs. I have only . . . (two) My dog likes to run, I like to run, too.

  3. Eleven little boys are playing ball with Ben. Two boys go away and then there are . . . (ten).

  8. Here sits the dog under the tree It likes the tree as you can . . . (see). T: Very good. Now let's play a game "How much?" Can you count? Do you like to count? Now we'll see! I'll read a verse and you should answer my questions. The quicker the better.

Author: this is the story of Cinderella. She’s a beautiful girl. She hasn’t got a mother. Her father has got a second wife now, and she’s Cinderella’s stepmother. She’s a horrible woman. She has got two daughters, Pat and Liz. They are Cinderella’s stepsisters.

Scene 1.

Cinderella: Good morning, Daddy, dear.

Father: Good morning, my child. How are you today?

Cinderella: Fine, Daddy. And you?

Father: Oh, I’m OK.

Author: Enter Lady Sybil.

Stepmother: Cinderella. What are you doing? You’re not working. Work, girl, work.

Cinderella: Yes, stepmother.

Author: Cinderella is crying. Fairy Godmother appears.

Fairy: Why are you crying, my child?

Cinderella: I can’t go to the ball. I have neither a beautiful dress, nor glass slippers.

Fairy: My dear, I’ll help you and you’ll go to the ball. Here is a white dress and glass slippers for you. But remember: you must go home at 12 o clock.

Cinderella: Thank you very much, dear godmother.

Scene 2.

Author: At the King’s hall. The guests are dancing.

Queen: Who is that young girl? How beautiful she is.

Prince: May I dance with you?

Cinderella: With great pleasure.

Author: Suddenly the clock strikes twelve.

Cinderella: Oh, it’s twelve o’clock. I’m sorry, but I must go. Good-bye.

Scene 3.

Author: They’re at home.

1st Stepsister: You know, Cinderella, there was a beautiful girl at the King’s ball.

Stepmother: She ran home and lost her glass slipper.

2nd Stepsister: The Prince wants to marry her. He is looking for her.

Author: Two Heralds and Prince enter the room.

1st Herald: (to 1st daughter) Try on this glass slipper, please.

1st Stepsister: It’s too small for me.

2nd Stepsister: Let me try it on! Oh, it’s so small.

Father: I’ve got one more daughter, Cinderella.

Stepmother: Oh, it’s our Cinderella. She hasn’t been to the ball.

2nd Harold: Try on this glass slipper, please.

Author: The glass slipper fits Cinderella.

Prince: Oh, it’s her!

1st and 2nd stepsisters: Oh, Cinderella, we beg your pardon!

Cinderella: I pardon you. Good-bye.

The End.
