Miami and Miami Beach
Miami and Miami Beach are known collectively as a vacation wonderland.
Thousands of magnificent homes are situated on its many miles of waterfront property. Its waterways provide thousands with unlimited recreational opportunities. Its great mansions are relics of its glorious past as a playground of the rich and famous.
Today, you do not have to be rich or famous to enjoy Miami's many attractions. Boating, shopping, waterskiing, sightseeing, dancing, and dining are available to all. Miami's waterfront parks and excursion boats will give you hours of pleasure.
The city's cafes and Spanish-style malls are fun to explore and linger by. Its many sea attractions will delight you and your children. But Miami is also a dynamic, modern metropolis of business and trade.
It is a vital link between North and Latin America. The city also has quaint neighborhoods such as Opa Locka, with its Arabian Nights architecture. A strong Hispanic influence is easy to see in the city's beautiful Spanish and Moorish influenced architecture.
Among the popular Miami attractions are the restored hotels of South Miami Beach. This area is one of the finest examples of Art Decco restoration and revival in the world.
With its beaches, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, and beautiful people, Miami and Miami Beach are places you won't want to miss when visiting the United States.
Philadelphia
Philadelphia, "The City of Brotherly Love." The fifth largest city in the United States. Founded by William Penn, it was under construction by 1682. The capital of the United States from 1776 to 1800, evidence of Philadelphia’s colonial heritage is visible everywhere.
Be sure to stroll along its old streets and visit its restored colonial houses. See the University of Pennsylvania, founded by Benjamin Franklin, Philadelphia’s most famous citizen. Philadelphia is noted as a strong educational, research, and industrial center.
But it is also a city of fountains, parks, zoos, and museums. Art, science and history museums make any visit to Philadelphia a wonderful learning experience. Be sure to see the Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Rodin Museum.
The history of the founding of the nation is to be seen in Philadelphia’s many historical sights. Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are only two of the dozens of fascinating historical landmarks you can visit. Don’t forget to walk through Philadelphia’s many gracious neighborhoods.
Situated between the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers, Philadelphia’s waterfronts offer wonderful recreational opportunities.
But Philadelphia is not just history and sports. It has exciting shopping opportunities, a lively night life, and some of the best restaurants in America. Enjoy your visit to America’s "Cradle of Liberty!"
