COING TO THE VARIETY THEATRE

Yesterday my friend told me that a group of foreign singers and dancers would come to our city at the end of the month. They would give ten concerts at the Variety Theatre.

Ukrainian singers and dancers would take part in the concerts too.

I was very glad to hear that because I am fond of modern music and I like to listen variety singers very much.

So we decided to go to the box-office to buy the tickets beforehand. It was very difficult to get tickets.

At last we took our seats in the hall. We had good seats in the sixth row opposite the stage.

During the first part of the concert a famous American singer sang popular songs about his country, his nature, his people, about happiness and love. He sang in English, and we understood almost everything. The audience broke into applause after every song.

In the second part of the concert Polish dancers and singers performed folk and modem dances and songs. They danced very well, their costumes were very beautiful. Polish modern songs were sung by the most popular Polish singers.

Ukrainian singers sang in Ukrainian, Italian, English and Rus­sian.

The audience enjoyed the concert very much, and almost all the participants of the concert were presented with flowers.

They performed (oik dances and folk songs very well.  Wo enjoyed the concert very much.
