Individual task № 6. Organization of in-patient gynecological aid.

General information about a hospital.

Name of a hospital, its capacities. Service area, number and structure of the attended population.

Composition, structure and organization of the work of the hospital reception. Present order of planned and emergency hospitalization of patients.

Description of a gynecologic department.

Medical staff of the department: number of staff and employed posts, labor supply, staffing, coefficient of second employment.

Number of beds in the department, number of beds in wards, square per one bed. Department facilities. Operating, dressing rooms etc., their capacities. Keeping of medical protective regimen.

Organization and working conditions of doctors and paramedical staff, their factual workloads. Functions of a resident doctor and governor of the department. Duties of a doctor in charge.

Surgical activity, order of rendering emergency medical aid. Use of high technology treatment methods.

Antiepidemic activities, carried out in the department. Preventive measures against intra-hospital infections among gynecologic patients, regulating documents. Sanitation regimen in the department.

Description of succession of activities with a maternity welfare clinic.

Account and analysis of the work of the department.

Primary medical documentation used in the department. Yearly accounts based on primary data in the department.

Composition of the patients in the department, description of an average duration of treatment and lethality in single cases of hospitalization.

Conclusions and suggestions.

On the basis of the analysis, carried out in comparison with known normative meanings and factual data a student must formulate conclusions about the work of the profile department and make suggestions to improve its activity, rendering in-patient gynecologic aid in a particular hospital and the system of public health service in general.

Individual task № 7. Organization of in-patient obstetric-gynecological aid.

General information about a maternity hospital.

Main documents, regulating recourses and hospital obstetric aid.

Service area, number of the attended population.

Structure of the maternity hospital. Structure and functions of the admission unit of the hospital reception. Existing hospitalization procedure. Organization of the admission of the pregnant and discharge of puerperants.

Medical staff: number of staff and employed posts, labor supply, staffing, coefficient of second employment. Description of the qualifications of the medical workers.

Capacities of the maternity hospital, and specialization of bed fund (beds for the healthy and pathological pregnant, for puerperants, new-borns and others). Number of beds in the department, number of beds in wards, square per one bed. Puerperal, operating, dressing rooms etc., their facilities. Keeping of medical protective regimen.

Organization and working conditions of doctors and paramedical staff, their factual workloads. Functions of a resident doctor and governor of the department. Duties of a doctor in charge.

Antiepidemic measures taken in the department. Preventive measures against intra-hospital infections among gynecologic patients, regulating documents. Sanitation regimen in the maternity hospital.

On the basis of the analysis, carried out in comparison with known normative meanings and factual data a student must formulate conclusions about the work of the maternity hospital (or maternity department) and make particular suggestions to improve its activity, rendering in-patient obstetric aid and the system of public health service in general.
