History of the press

Preparation of the first printed messages is attributed to lord Burleju in 1588 when the Spanish armada had appeared at English coast. They had characteristic signs of newspapers and entitled « English Меркур ». In the beginning of XVII century, the printed flying leaves, significantly were multiplied, and in 1622 in London there was the first present newspaper based by the composer of letters-sheets Натаниелем Буттером, entitled « The Certain of this Present Week ». « The Weekly Courant » appeared later was possible to leave weekly without breaks. And until now «Times», contrary to assurances of malicious languages, had reserved value of the largest and most influential newspaper of the world.
