Занятие 1(продолжительность-3ч.)

Тема: I am a student. My working day.

Цель: развитие навыков чтения и повседневного общения, формирование компетенций:

-ОК-1-способность к обобщению, анализу, восприятию информации, постановке цели и выбору путей ее достижения, владение культурой мышления;

-ОК-2-способность логически верно, аргументировано и ясно строить устную и письменную речь, создавать тексты профессионального назначения;

Задачи:

-Aктивизировать навыки чтения ударных гласных, буквосочетаний;

-Повторить категории существительного, прилагательного, глагола в английском языке;

-Повторить категорию личных и притяжательных местоимений в английском языке;

Этапы занятия:

1) Речевая разминка Направлена на формирование компетенции–ОК1 20 мин.

  1. Чтение гласных в ударном положении стр.11-12 (Марковина,2010)

  1. Упр. 1,2,3;стр.12-13 Упр.5,6стр. 14 (Марковина,2010)

  1. Транскрипционные знаки:

[i:]-долгий и/[i]-краткий,открытый и

[е]-э в словах этот, экий / [ае]-более открытый, чем э

[а:] - долгий, глубокий а/[о] - краткий, открытый о

[о:] - долгий о /[о]-закрытый, близкий к у звук о

[u] - краткий у со слабым округлением губ/ [и:]–долгий у без сильного округления губ

[^]-краткий гласный, приближающийся к русскому а в словах варить, бранить

[Ə]-безударный гласный, напоминающий русский безударный гласный в словах: нужен, молоток

[э:]-в русском отсутствует, средний между о и э

Задание1.Найдите в тексте английские эквиваленты слов и словосочетаний:

-заканчивать школу, поступать в университет, выбирать профессию, следовать совету родителей, выбирать профессию самостоятельно, работать над конкретными предметами, сдавать вступительные экзамены;

-первокурсник, общежитие, потерянное время, занятие, область знания, применение, знания, возможность;

-быть родом из, снимать квартиру, тратить время, просыпаться (утром), делать зарядку, принимать душ, возвращать (получать), считать (иметь мнение), покидать (уходить), читать (проводить) лекцию;

-необходимый, практический, понятно, научным языком, квалифицированный, глубокий, ценный, упорная (работа).

After finishing school pupils can go on to higher education. Thousands of young people go to universities every year. It is not easy to choose a profession and to enter the university. Some young people follow their parents’ advice when choosing their prospective job, others choose a career on their own. TV, magazines, quizzes can also help young people to choose a future career. It is advisable to choose a career at school, because it gives a goal to work on special subjects. Working on special school subjects will enable a young person to pass entrance examinations to the university. Several months ago I also had to make a choice of my future career and I entered the Volgograd medical university.

Now I am a first-year student of the Volgograd State Medical University. I live with my parents in a flat/house in the Voroshilovsky district. (I am not a native of Volgograd, so I live in a hostel or rent a flat). Every day I have much interesting and necessary work to do. I always remember that the lost time is never gained and that is why I do not like to waste even a minute.

I get up early in the morning–at about 6 o’clock, do my morning exercises and have breakfast. After breakfast I get dressed and leave home. It takes me 30 minutes to get to the University by mini – bus.

Our classes usually begin at 8.30.We have several practical classes and a lecture or two every day. It is useful to us to listen to the lectures because the professors always deliver them clearly and scientifically.

On Friday we usually have a lecture in Physics. Our professor is not only a very good specialist in his field of science but also a qualified teacher. He delivers lectures in his own way and gives us many new and interesting facts about the application of physics in medicine. The professor shows us that at present deep knowledge of this subject will be valuable in our future work.

After classes I go home, have lunch and take a rest. I am often tired but I understand that every day which passes by gives me much valuable and necessary knowledge.

Sometimes I go to the library where various textbooks and latest scientific articles are available. Besides, our university provides Internet facilities for students. I believe that at present Internet is a very important source of academic information and I turn to it very often.

When I have free time I go to the gym or go out with my friends.

I work very hard as I want to be a highly-qualified specialist in the field of medical bioengineering
