Traveller’s cheques If stolen, tell the police and visit the nearest refund agency. You’ll then get a full or partial refund immediately. Keep a list of cheque numbers and a note of those already cashed, and don’t carry this with the cheques themselves. |
Cash Taking only cash is a risk. If you lose it, you can’t get a refund! You may find the exchange rate for cash is not as good as for traveller’s cheques. |
Credit cards The best way to buy things abroad is by credit card, because you don’t have to pay until you get home. The exchange rates used by credit companies are usually very good for their customers. |
