  1. Proclamation

The proclamation “Alle Menschen werden Brüder” will be sung by all participants. You can find the melody and the words in the programme booklet as well as on the big screen in the concert hall.

During the proclamation, the conductor accompanied by one of the youngest members of the group, will receive the certificate. They will be asked to line up close to the central stage. On arrival in Neerpelt, the conductor will be handed a coloured card. Make sure you have this card on you at all times when entering the hall so as to simplify your way to the stage.

  1. Walking dinner

After the proclamation the conductor of the group (possibly accompanied by one other member of the group) is invited to a walking dinner in the party hall of Wico Campus St.-Hubertus (see map 11) where he/she can meet the jury members. The remarks made by the jury can be discussed in detail during this dinner.

The coloured card that you received on arrival, will make it easy for you to find your jury-member.

  1. GUEST CONCERTS

Choirs participating in the formulas 1 or 2 will be selected to participate at different guest concerts. These concerts will be mentioned on every choir’s individual schedule. The repertoires for these concerts will be collected by the festival secretariat in advance.

  1. WORKSHOPS

Some choirs are selected by the festival organization to participate at workshops, all guided by renowned Flemish professors, all with a specific expertise on choral Music. These workshops will be organized in the Parketzaal, Kapel and Hubertustheater of the Wico campus St.-Hubertus (see map 11) and in the sports hall of the Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof (see map 1).

Via the choir’s schedule and/or at the check-in, the detailed workshop participation will be announced.

  1. OTHER DAY AND EVENING ACTIVITIES

All participants are invited to following festival events:

  • Friday April 27, 2012:

  • An opening show from 20.30 till 22.00 h., performed by some of our participating choirs on the Neerpelt Market Place (see map 6).

  • After this opening show the large group of spectators will be guided in a parade to the CLB square (see map 17).

  • The French creation “Echelles” musically conducted by the Anakronic Electro Orchestra, brings the Klezmer music alive. The show will be finished off by a magical firework of Pascal Ducos. This performance starts at 22.15 h. and ends at 23.00 h.

  • Saturday April 28, 2012:

  • Holy mass in the St.-Jozefschurch Boseind at 18.00 h. (see map 19).

  • Laureate concert “Con Brio”: The content and composition of this evening-concert are kept a secret until the very last minute so as to create tension and surprise. The selected laureates will guarantee maximum musical enjoyment. It is the organisation’s decision to select the choirs taking part in this concert.

  • Please, take into account that your group can be asked to participate in this concert. The selected groups are obliged to take part. The necessary practical arrangements will be made before the concert starts. The laureate concert takes place in the theatre of the “Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof” (see map 4).

  • The Happening “60 years of happy mamories” is a joyful and happy evening concert with performances of some of in the festival participating choirs. Entrance tickets can be asked for at the festival secretariat. Also at the check-in at your arrival you can make reservations for these tickets. The happening will be organized in the sports hall of the “Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof” (see map 1) and is free accessible to all festival participants.

  • Sunday April 29, 2012:

  • Holy mass in the church Grote Heide, Neerpelt at 09.45 h (see map 12).

  • Concert mass in the St.-Niklaaskerk, Neerpelt at 11.00 h (see map 7).

  • Laureate concert “Con Bravura”: The content and composition of this evening-concert are kept a secret until the very last minute so as to create tension and surprise. The selected laureates will guarantee maximum musical enjoyment. It is the organisation’s decision to select the choirs taking part in this concert.

  • Please, take into account that your group can be asked to participate in this concert. The selected groups are obliged to take part. The necessary practical arrangements will be made before the concert starts. The laureate concert takes place in the theatre of the “Provinciaal Domein Dommelhof” (see map 4).

  • Monday April 30, 2012:

Anniversary party! The organizing committee will divide in situ all participants in 2 groups. Depending on this division, the programme will be as follows:
