III. Дополнительные придаточные предложения

Дополнительные придаточные предложения в составе сложноподчи­ненных предложений выполняют функцию прямого дополнения.

Основным союзом, который вводит придаточные дополнительные предложения, является союз that.

Союзные слова who, what, whom, whose, which также могут вводить при­даточные дополнительные предложения.

Порядок слов в дополнительных придаточных предложениях такой же, как в повествовательных предложениях.

I know that Peter is a student. Peter Я знаю, что Петр студент. Петр

говорит, что он учит английский. Вы не знаете, кто может перевести это письмо? Мы не знаем, где сейчас Петр.

says that he studies English.

Do you know who can translate

this letter?

Tell me, please, whose children study Скажите, пожалуйста, чьи дети English. учат английский язык.

We do not know where Peter is now.

Примечания:

1. Союз that, который вводит дополнительное придаточное предложение,

может опускаться.

1 know she is at home now. Я знаю, что она сейчас дома.

Peter says he often goes to the cinema. Петр говорит, что он часто ходит

в кино.

2. Союзные слова who, whom, whose, where и др. не могут опускаться, так как они являются членами придаточного предложения.

The Present Perfect Tense

I. Напишите следующие предложения во всех лицах и прочитайте их:

II. Поставьте следующие предложения в отрицательную и вопроситель­ную форму:

1. The film has been on since last week. 2. I have known him for ten years. 3. They have lived in Moscow for a long time. 4. We have received two letters from him since he went to London.

III. Поставьте наречия на соответствующее место в предложении:

1. He's been to London, (never) 2. Have you bought this book? (yet) 3. They've gone for a walk, (just) 4. She has done well, (lately) 5. Have you swum in the sea? (ever) 6. The childien have not got up. (yet) 7. Has it got light? (yet) 8. Who's telephoned you? (just)

IV. Закончите следующие предложения:
