2. длительного действия, совершающегося в настоящий период времени, хотя и не обязательно в момент речи:

I am learning to drive.

Я учусь водить машину. (в настоящее время)

He is studying at school.

Он учится в школе. (в настоящее время)

My husband is working on an invention.

Мой муж (в настоящее время) работает над изобретением.

  1. запланированного будущего действия, о котором имеется договоренность:

I’m leaving tomorrow.

Я уезжаю завтра.

We’re flying to Paris in the morning.

Мы вылетаем в Париж утром.

We are dining out on Saturday.

Мы обедаем в гостях в субботу.

He is taking his examination on Friday.

Он сдает экзамен в пятницу.

 

Внимание! Следующие глаголы (глаголы состояния) не употребляются в форме Continuous:

like (нравится)

want (хотеть)

know (знать)

prefer (предпочитать)

need (нуждаться)

must (быть должным)

love (любить)

remember (помнить)

understand (понимать)

hate (ненавидеть)

forget (забывать)
