Текст 2.DESINGN AND APERATIONS OF OIL LEVEL CHEKING RELAY

The relay comprises a relay unit and a detector which are interconnected by means of a length of a high voltage cable.

The detector is a cylindrical capacitor made up of two nickel plated tubes, one mounted in the other concentrically, separated by dialectical insulation. The outer tube is provided with two lengthwise slots for the passage of oil when in immersed condition.

Operation of the detector is based on the abrupt in the electrical capacitance when it becomes immersed in the oil or Diesel fuel. Transport ship: Are you ready for mooring operations?

SHIP-TO-SHIP TRANSFER

Trawler: Please tell us the order of transshipment.

Transport ship: We`ll marry the split falls of our derricks. The cargo will be reshipped on pallets, 42 boxes in package, from your bow and the fish-meal in cargo nets, 2 tons per haul, from your sten.

Trawler: Understood. But our derrick lifting capacity is only one ton.

Transport ship: Then we`ll work in accordance with the cargo capacity of your derricks. Will you send your tallymen to check up the quality and quantity and quantity of the fish being transshipped?

Trawler: Yes, we`ll do that. What are your working hours during transshipment period?

Transport ship: We work day and night with 15 minutes` break every two hours. Work is usually stopped in rain or snow. Cargo will be taken only under the contract terms-fish must have the body temperature of less than 18° below zero and besides, both fish and fish-meal should be in sound packings.

Trawler: Got it. We`re going to transfer 200 tons of round fish, 150 tons of gutted fish, 50 tons of fish fillets and 120 tons of fish-meal. The fish products are made of Atlantiс mackerel, horse mackerel and silver hake. You are to sort out the fish by their species and kind of dressing.

Transport ship: O.K. Tell your Master that I`d like to see him on board my ship. Men will be transferred in a special boarding net.

Trawler: Thank you. Our Master will be able to board your ship in half an hour.
