Билет № 6. Условия приёма в пнипу, учебный процесс, условия проживания.

Students are admitted to the University on the results of the United State Exams.

It is necessary to have a certificate of secondary education and a medical account.

Full-time department admits students up to the age of 35. The minimum age for admissionis about 17.

Academic year consists of two terms. Students take exams at the end of each term.

Student who have many points for United State Exams study free of charge and receive monthly grants. Other students pay for education.

There are three forms of study: full-time, part-time and correspondence.

The Curricula consist of three basic divisions: the social sciences, the general sciences and the Specialized subjects.

Students pass practice in summer. It gives small representation about the future work. Also the curriculum provides winter and summer vacations.

University welcomes out-of-town and international students. For them there are some comfortable hostels.

Upon completion of the 5-year University course a Higher National Diploma of Technology is awarded. Some students continue research in postgraduate courses. Starting this year, students learn four or six years, after which receive International Diploma. These students are called bachelors and masters.

So our University provides good facilities for education, leisure and sport in pleasant surroundings.

I will speak about Civil Engineering faculty.

It was founded in 1959. Today the faculty has 8 chairs, 6 of them graduate specialists. They are “Heat and Gas Supply”, “Water Supply”, “City Building and Economy” and others.

The Civil Engineering faculty has best teaching staff consisting of 80 persons.

Our Faculty offers three forms of study. They are full-time students, part-time students and correspondence students. In total it is about 1400 student.

The Civil Engineering faculty is situated in the separate building in Kyibishev Street. Also our faculty has a lot of libraries , modern laboratories, 3 computer classes, a new sports complex and a small dining-room.

Graduates of Civil Engineering faculty will be certainly demanded at the job market. We can work from shop assistants of building materials to leading positions in big companies and government.

My future specialization is “Industrial and Civil Engineering”. We will design and build 3 types of buildings: residential, public and industrial.

We will solve the problems of organization planning and management in the sphere of real estate.

I think a good civil engineering should be stress-resistant, patient and positive, because “to build is not to break”.

I follow steps of my mum. I hope that I will not fail her.

Билет № 8. Жизнь студентов.

I will speak about our student’s life. Student’s life consists of lectures, seminars, practice and exans.

We have received a personal freedom and now should plan our life correctly. Therefore we should be responsible about study, not miss classes to become successful in life. As for me I try to follow these rules.

As you know our University welcomes international and out-of-town students. For them there are special student’s hostels. Also our University has a lot of libraries, reading-halls, laboratories, computer classes and sports gyms. It provides good facilities for education, leisure and sport in pleasant surroundings.

The students’ life is very interesting. We take part in different parties, conferences, sport competitions, concerts and like. Thus social life of the student is rich.

Of course, students face a lot of problems. Our grant is too small to cover all expenses. Therefore some students combine work and study. It is rather difficult because it is easy to fall behind. But if we plan our time we’ll really enjoy students’ life.
