Для того чтобы правильно выполнить контрольную работу №4 необходимо усвоить следующие разделы грамматики:

1. Условные предложения трех типов.

  1. Сложные формы инфинитива и причастия. (Complex Object, Complex Subject. Absolute Participle Construction)

Вариант 1

1. Перепишите и переведите предложения с придаточными условия разного типа.

  1. The whole matter will be forgotten if I manage to produce the letter.

  2. Unless computer techniques had been developed, space research would never have made such great progress.

  3. He would certainly agree if he were in your place.

  4. The work would have been done long ago if they had been prepared for it properly.

  5. If you interrupt him again, you will have to go outside.

  6. If all the people in the world counted the atoms in a drop of water, they would not be able to finish the work even in ten years.

2. Раскройте скобки и употребите нужную форму глагола в условных предложениях 1-го, 2-го и 3-го типов. Переведите предложения.

  1. I could tell you what this means if I (to know) Greek.

  2. If the sum of the angle were less than 180 degrees, the geometry (to be) hyperbolic.

3. Перепишите предложения и подчеркните Complex Object и Complex Subject. Переведите предложения.

  1. The chief would like you to come up with the conclusions he wants, not your own conclusions.

  2. He expects his colleagues to complete the experiment soon.

  3. Hilbert’s system, perhaps because he is known to be one of the outstanding mathematicians of the twentieth century, had the most profound effect.

  4. If a differential equation contains only first differentials, it is said to be of the first order.

  5. The method doesn’t seem to offer any advantages over that discussed above.
