©Britain is known to have the reputation of a country without its original cuisine, but there are some really good dishes. Roast beef, meat pies and different puddings are among them.

Traditionally, English people had a large meal in the morning, but now they don't have

enough time to cook. They have just a bowl of cereal (corn-flakes or muesli), some toast with spread and marmalade and a cup of tea or coffee.

Lunch is a light meal, too. Children usually have a two course meal with meat or sausage with vegetables and some fruit or pudding. In London you can often see people walking and

having meal on their way.

Dinner is the main meal of the day. The British usually have it between 6 and 8 pm. It's the

time for something substantial.

The tradition of having a cup of tea (a "cuppa") is still alive. The British are ready to drink

tea at any time of the day. They have it with sandwiches, scones and serve it with sugar, milk or cream. Tea with lemon is called Russian tea.
