“Statistics supports the well-known fact that job candidates with Master’s Degrees command higher salaries than candidates with Bachelor’s Degrees. Master’s Degrees not only command a higher salary, but also oftentimes allow you entry into management positions straight away, instead of having to work your way up the proverbial employment ladder”. You have already opened additional doors to your future by taking the time to “Master” your profession.
There has always been great demand for able, creative and imaginative chemists as well as for chemically trained specialists in various fields of industry and science with a sound knowledge and appreciation of chemistry. There are some areas where in-depth knowledge of chemistry and interdisciplinary approach will be actually called upon: industry, medicine, ecology, agriculture, nanotechnology and so on. To meet modern employment requirements you are to gain greater expertise on a subject. Obviously, one of the most promising ways is to take Master’s courses thus not to place narrow limitation on your professional activities and career. A Master’s Degree is the one thing that will set you above the rest of your competitors when you begin searching for your perfect job.
Since natural and applied sciences have been developing so rapidly in recent years and the methods of investigation have been becoming so powerful, specialists must keep up with the latest investigations, improvements and technologies to look forward confidently to great progress in the future and bring deeper understanding into science. Training and research undertaken by Students' Research and Master's Studies Department during these two years will make them experts in a particular subject.
This is certainly a decided step forward especially for those who combine work and study, but almost every university provides for (предусматривает) programs that focus on helping already working individuals attain a master’s degree without leaving their present jobs. Earning a master’s degree requires a significant investment of your time and mental energy to step up your efforts. Normally with research programs, for example, the Master of Science candidate will need to publish results of the research in a main stream research publication and it takes hours to collect and compile the data, analyze and then submit them to the scientific society. On the other hand, employers are demanding more when looking for candidates to hire. Whether a student has just graduated with a bachelor's degree or an employee seeking career advancement, a master’s degree offer an advantage that can set candidates apart from the rest.
For one thing obtaining a master's degree is the level of expertise you gained on a subject, for another one this can lead to greater responsibility. A master's degree indicates that you have achieved a level of knowledge over and above the average person and this alone can give you an advantage in certain job markets where deeper specialized knowledge is always needed.
The benefits of obtaining a master's degree can vary according to the discipline your degree is in, so you can pretend to specialized positions in the chosen field. In some professions, earning a master's degree can result in a higher salary. In many cases this can qualify Masters for positions of leadership.
