Lacq CCS oxycombustion basic process

Combustion using pure oxygene releases flue gas with a high concentration of CO2 and water vapor

The flue gas is purified and dehydrated. The wet CO2 (concentration of 90 to 93%) is compressed at 27 bar then dried for transport (27 km)

The CO2 is then compressed at a pressure of over 40 bar before being reinjected to a depth of 4500 m into the Rousse reservoir

Rousse reservoir has already demonstrated its integrity for several million years
