InSb photoconductive detectors, InSb/InAs photovoltaic detectors, InAsSb photodiode
InSb photoconductive detectors are capable of detecting infrared light up to 6 m. InSb photovoltaic detectors can sense infrared light up to about 5.5 m, and InAs photovoltaic detectors to about 3.5 m. InSb and InAs photovoltaic detectors cover a spectral response range equivalent to PbSe and PbS photoconductive detectors, respectively, and feature higher response speed and better S/N.

Thermoelectrically cooled InSb photoconductive detectors are capable of detecting infrared light up to
around 6 m with high sensitivity and high speed. |

InSb photovoltaic detectors are high-speed, low-noise infrared detectors that deliver high sensitivity in the so-called atmospheric window between 3 and 5 m. Infrared light in the 5 m band can be detected with peak sensitivity and high response speed. There are two cooling types: a metal dewar type cooled with
liquid nitrogen and a stirling cooler type requiring no liquid nitrogen. |

MCT photoconductive detectors are sensors whose resistance lowers when exposed to infrared light and with different spectral response from 2 m to 22 m are provided. MCT photovoltaic detectors generate a photocurrent when exposed to infrared light.

Two-color detectors
Two-color detectors incorporate an infrared-transmitting Si photodiode mounted over a PbS/PbSe detector or InGaAs PIN photodiode along the same optical axis. This structure delivers a broad spectral response range. TE-cooled types maintain a constant temperature during operation allowing precision measurements with an improved S/N.

Photon drag detectors
The photon drag detector makes use of the “photon drag effect” in which holes created in a semiconductor by incident photons are dragged along in the direction of the photons, generating an electromotive force. Because of its sensitivity at 10.6 m, this detector is ideally suited for detection of CO2 lasers. The surface of the detector element is coated with a non-reflective material.
B7506-01 is a infrared detector module with preamp designed to detect infrared light by connecting to a DC power supply.
