Объектный и субъектный причастные обороты

В тех случаях, когда нужно подчеркнуть не факт совершения действия, а то, что действие происходит или происходило в момент речи, в объектных и субъектных оборотах вместо инфинитива употребляется причастие.

We saw the temperature rise. - Мы видели, что температураподнялась. (ОИО)

Wesawthetemperaturerising. - Мы видели, что температураподнимается. (ОПО)

Hewasheardtocomeupstairsandentertheroom. – Слышали, как онподнялсянаверх ивошелв комнату.

Hewasheardcomingupstairsslowly. – Было слышно, как онподнималсянаверх.

Объектный причастный оборот (опо)

Глаголы*, выражающие:

1. Умственную активность – know, believe, consider, think, find, suppose, show, prove и др.

2. Желание, требование – want, wish, require, desire.

3. Чувственное восприятие – feel, hear, see, watch, observe.

XIII. Пользуясь схемой ОПО переведите следующие предложения на русский язык:

1. Everybody knows the Earth orbiting the Sun. 2. We observe the temperature rising and the alloy melting. 3. We could watch the spacecraft launched. 4. I don’t want you focusing on such a problem and being upset about it. 5. He may hear us discussing the latest results of our investigations. 6. I couldn’t suppose them developing a new model of the launch vehicle. 7. They required the machine tool being tested during some hours. 8. There are some reasons which require this technique being used for practical applications. 9. We know the latest investigations leading to improved performance, reliability and extended life cycle of the aircraft. 10. Die casting use supposes a fine surface quality and dimensional tolerance being achieved.

При переводе: A B C D B A C D Предполагали, что вещество содержит примеси.

Глаголы**:

1. Употребляющиеся в Passive voice и выражающие умственную деятельность и чувственное восприятие – assume, believe, consider, expect, find, hear, know, observe, realize, say, show, see, suppose, think, understand

2. Употребляющиеся в Active voice – appear, seem, prove, turn out, come out, happen, chance.

3. Словосочетания – be likely, be unlikely, be not likely, be sure, be certain.

XIV. Пользуясь схемой СПО переведите следующие предложения на русский язык:

1. Forging is known as being one of the oldest metalworking processes. 2. Forging is known as performed by a smith using hammer and anvil. 3. Die castings seems being used when a fine surface quality and dimensional tolerances are essential. 4. Forged metal was shown demonstrating greater resistance to fatigue and impact. 5. Machine-forging operations could be expected as accomplished by use of a series of dies. 6. The formation of oxide layer has been observed occurring on the device to protect it against wear. 7. Sand is often used for molds because a certain amount of vapor and gas is assumed escaping the molten metal when it is poured in a sand mold. 8. Molds made of wood, plastic, cast iron, steel, aluminum, or other metal appear producing the castings with finer detail and finish.
