Lisbon is Europe’s westernmost capital and it’s the perfect place for a walk.
As a starting point, get a view of the city by taking the Santa Justa Elevator, a lift designed by Eiffel. After you’ve taken in the view, go 11) along / down the elevator and walk 12) in down / up through the central hub, Rossio Square, to the railway station of the same name. 13) Jump on / over the Funicular Gloria to save yourself the heart-challenging hike 14) in from / up to the Barrio Alto (or ‘high quarter’).
