Pass me some bread, please.

Could you give me some tea, please? Would you like some coffee?

a) в вопросительных предложениях:

Are there any books on the desk? Did anyone phone me while I was out?

b) в отрицательных предложениях, если при сказуемом стоит отрицание not: I havent got any money on me. There isnt any milk in the fridge.

I didnt hear anything. –

Any task is easy for him.

Anybody can do it.

You can buy anything you want. -

There are no books on the desk. There was nobody in the kitchen.

Nobody told me anything about it.

I have some friends. – Do you have any? (friends)

Some of them were absent. –

There is something in the box. –

Nobody did the homework. –
